Claretian Formation
Begins With Us
St. Anthony Mary Claret College (SAMCC), is a private educational institution in Quezon City. Founded in 1984, it offers a four-year Undergraduate Bachelor of Arts Major in Philosophy for students pursuing ordained vocations. Many religious congregation aspirants, Filipinos, and foreign students are enrolled in this institution.
The Graduate Department, Institute for Consecrated Life in Asia (ICLA), is a center of higher studies in Theology and Pastoral Ministry—both civil and ecclesiastical degrees. As an ecclesiastical institution, it is incorporated into the Faculty of Sacred Theology of the University of Santo Tomas (UST). It serves a multi-cultural student population (religious, lay leaders, ministers, and priests) from emergent churches, particularly in Asia.
PHILOSOPHY OF CLARETIAN EDUCATION
St. Anthony Mary Claret, a devoted servant of the Word, dedicated himself to proclaiming the Good News of Salvation, seeking the glory of God and the sanctification and salvation of all people worldwide.
In line with this mission, Saint Anthony Mary Claret College (SAMCC) embraces the call for prophetic and apostolic evangelization.
Inspired by the ideals and charism of St. Anthony Mary Claret, SAMCC is fully committed to promoting and actualizing God’s reign, which entails the definitive offer of salvation and the holistic transformation of the human person.
Driven by Christ’s love, this institution firmly believes in and strives to foster the integral formation of its students, encapsulated by the motto:
“SCIENTIA MAXIME CUM VIRTUTE”
“KNOWLEDGE IS BEST WITH VIRTUE”
SAMCC recognizes the need to immerse itself contextually in the signs of the times, discerning what is most urgent, timely, and effective in order to establish a more humane and just society, utilizing all available means.
Therefore, the school’s ultimate goal is to shape individuals and missionaries whose acquired knowledge finds its greatest expression in virtuous living and active involvement in social transformation.
Guided by the charism of St. Anthony Mary Claret, the institution endeavors to cultivate a community of disciples committed to life—forming individuals whose pursuit of academic excellence is intrinsically intertwined with the exemplary practice of Christian values.
