Results are released on or before the enrollment period — approximately one week after the examination. The three-day English Proficiency Assessment (EPA) is administered to all incoming SAMCC students and evaluates four fundamental language skills: Grammar, Listening, Writing, and Speaking.

A.B. Philosophy Program
Applicants who score below the Upper-Intermediate level are guided into the Propaedeutic Class for English Proficiency before advancing to the Program.
For First-Year Applicants
First-Year Applicants

Propaedeutic Class (ProCEP)

Applicants who score below the Upper-Intermediate level will be required to enroll in the Propaedeutic Class for English Proficiency (ProCEP) for two semesters, instead of proceeding directly to the First Year of the A.B. Philosophy Program.

Upon satisfactory completion of the ProCEP, the student will then be qualified to enroll in the A.B. Philosophy Program.

Transferees & Certificate Enrollees

English 1 & English 2

Applicants who score below the Upper-Intermediate level will be required to enroll in English 1 and English 2, in addition to the other subjects they are allowed to take.

It is highly recommended that each congregation provide additional activities to help students further improve their proficiency in the English language.
