Admission Application Procedures to SAMCC
For Incoming Freshmen and Transferees
Academic Year 2025–26
- Obtain an Application Form from the SAMCC Office.
- Submit all Required Documents for Admission:
For Filipino Students:
- Duly accomplished Application Form with a recent 2×2 photo
- Photocopy of Birth Certificate (original must be presented for verification)
- Certificate of Good Moral Character from the last school attended
- Form 138 (for incoming freshmen) or Transcript of Records (for transferees)
- Certification of English Language Proficiency issued by SAMCC, indicating at least an Upper-Intermediate Level.
- Applicants who have successfully completed two (2) semesters of the Propaedeutic Class for English Proficiency (ProCEP) are qualified to enroll in the First Year of the A.B. Philosophy Program.
- Written Recommendation from the applicant’s Congregation or Diocese
- One long folder (all documents must be placed inside the folder upon submission)
For Foreign Students
- Duly accomplished Application Form with a recent 2×2 photo
- Photocopy of Birth Certificate (original must be presented)
- Certificate of Good Moral Character from the last school attended
- Photocopy of Appropriate Visa (front and back; original must be presented)
- Transcript of Records translated into English and authenticated by the Philippine Embassy in the applicant’s country
- Certification of English Language Proficiency issued by SAMCC, indicating at least an Upper-Intermediate Level.
- Applicants who have successfully completed two (2) semesters of the Propaedeutic Class for English Proficiency (ProCEP) are qualified to enroll in the First Year of the A.B. Philosophy Program.
- Written Recommendation from the applicant’s Congregation or Diocese
- One long folder (all documents must be placed inside the folder upon submission)
- Upon completion and verification of all required documents, proceed to the Cashier to pay the Testing Fee for the Assessment Test.
- Bring two (2) ballpoint pens for use during the three-day Assessment Test.
- The results of the assessment test will be released on or before the enrollment period, approximately one week after the examination.
Note: The three-day English Proficiency Assessment (EPA) is administered to all incoming SAMCC students and evaluates four fundamental language skills: Grammar, Listening, Writing, and Speaking.
For Applicants to the First Year A.B. Philosophy Program:
- Those who score below the Upper-Intermediate Level will be required to enroll in the Propaedeutic Class for English Proficiency (ProCEP) for two (2) semesters, instead of proceeding directly to the First Year of the A.B. Philosophy Program.
- Upon satisfactory completion of the ProCEP, the student will then be qualified to enroll in the A.B. Philosophy Program.
For Transferees to the A.B. Philosophy Program and Certificate Program Enrollees:
- Applicants who score below the Upper-Intermediate Level will be required to enroll in English 1 and English 2, in addition to the other subjects they are allowed to take.
- It is highly recommended that each congregation provide additional activities to help students further improve their proficiency in the English language.
